Another
Sports Journalism graduate is heading west to work in broadcasting.
Colton Wiens, class of 2014, is the
new radio anchor at YL Country and KOX-FM in Peace River, Alta.
“I will be responsible for finding
stories throughout the day and then I’ll be on-air for the afternoon and
evening newscasts,” says Colton. “I also plan to do play-by-play for the Junior
A hockey team.”
Colton also will help run the
station’s sports Website: www.PeaceCountrySports.com.
Colton says he’s planning to get
together to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Trevor Snell, another 2014 SPJN grad,
who’s working at Q99 radio in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
