A day off? Not for Dalliday

A big shout out to Pete Dalliday who called his 1,000th consecutive hockey game as the play-by-play voice of the OHL’s Peterborough Petes on Nov. 30 in Saginaw.

Pete called his first game for The Kruz when it was still on the AM dial back on September 19. 1996.

Pete was honoured for his play-by-play prowess at a Petes’ home game on December 3.

In the off-season, Pete is host and producer of On the Links on radio and TV. During the academic year, he’s a part-time faculty member in the Sports Journalism program here at Loyalist College.

Pete graduated from Loyalist’s Broadcast Journalism program in 1995.

Congratulations Pete … only 767 games to go to tie Gordie Howe’s record of 1,767 games.
